National Parks:
our natural wonders, just moments away

Plitvice Lakes

Experience Croatia’s oldest and largest National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site where sixteen shimmering lakes flow into one another through a network of powerful waterfalls. When you stand beneath the Great Waterfall, nearly 80 meters high, you can feel the sheer force of the water crashing down. It’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave.

The park is ideal for a full‑day visit, offering gentle walks along wooden pathways through untouched nature, as well as peaceful boat rides across the lakes. There’s no need to worry about food—restaurants within the park serve traditional dishes, and nearby you can enjoy authentic specialties from the
Lika region.

Islands & Sea

National park Kornati

Kornati doesn’t try to impress, they simply are. Wild, quiet, magnificent.
It is one of those places that makes you pause - not because it’s loud or dramatic, but because it feels ancient and elemental, with bare white stone, deep blue sea, and a sky that turns to gold as evening falls. Gently rocking on the waves, watching the sun sink into the sea, it’s easy to see why Alfred Hitchcock said the Zadar region has the most beautiful sunset in the world. From the deck of a luxury yacht, that glow feels even warmer, as if the light were meant just for you.

Located in the heart of Dalmatia, they are made up of more than a hundred islands, islets and reefs scattered across the Adriatic in a pattern that seems accidental yet perfectly harmonious. Their simplicity is their greatest charm.

  • Departure Points & Travel Time

    • Zadar: 1.5 – 2.5h (depending on boat type)

    • Biograd na Moru: 1 – 2h

    • Murter: 30 – 60 min (The closest gateway)

    • Access: Best experienced by private boat or a tailored charter.

    • Protection: Natural shade is rare; bring high-factor SPF, a hat, and plenty of water.

    • Park Fees: Entrance tickets are required. Check with your charter provider as they are often included.

    • Weather: Always check the maritime forecast before departure; sea conditions can shift quickly.

    • Dining: Some of the Adriatic’s finest seafood is hidden here—most restaurants are reachable only by boat.

Getting Around

From morning coffee
to nigh party on Vir

Life on Vir has its own rhythm, and it often starts the same way every morning - with a slow walk to the nearest café and a simple order: veliki makijato i čašu vode. From that first coffee by the sea to a chilled drink at sunset, the island offers countless places to pause, connect, and enjoy the moment.

Whether you prefer a quiet café for people-watching, a stylish lounge for evening cocktails, a beach bar with your feet in the sand, or a lively spot where music and laughter last late into the night, Vir has a place for every mood. Here, coffee turns into aperitif, aperitif into a night out - always unhurried, always relaxed, and always shared.

Did you know?

“Veliki makijato i čašu vode” [VEH-LEE-KEE MAH-KEE-YAH-TOH EE CHAH-SHOO VOH-DEH] is one of the most common daily café orders in Croatia. A veliki makijato is a large coffee with a dash of warm milk, usually served with a glass of water on the side. It’s a small but recognizable symbol of everyday local café culture.
